Actors, one in drag, performing on stage as "The Curios". Photographic postcard, ca. 1918-1920.
All boys concert party. "The Curios"
The man in drag is wearing white and stands to the right of the stage, with a line of men in white suits, all adopting the same pose of pointing towards the man in drag. Some of the men's faces are painted as clowns. They are members of 'The Curios' concert party. Unidentified location, but all personnel identified on verso of print catalogued, including Flight Sergeant B.A. Dibble. The drag character is in a short skirt, which would indicate late stage of World War I, ca. 1918-1920.
Part of James Gardiner Collection: photographs of military, naval, and prisoner-of-war camp drag.
