Digital Transgender Archive
Stef Wilenchek is a white genderqueer person who grew up in Georgia and Ohio. At the time of this oral history, Wilenchek was living in Minneapolis and working at the University of Minnesota. In this oral history Wilenchek speaks at length about their childhood, growing up in the deep South, race and racism, family relationships, coming out, and working in college administration. They also touch upon their thoughts surrounding institutional change.
