A British concert party somewhere in the Middle East towards the end of World War I, performing a tableau entitled 'The picnic on Highgate Hill' (according to inscription on verso). On the left a man in tweed plus-fours and a Tam o'Shanter rides a (Triumph?) motorcycle, carrying a pillion passenger in drag: the passenger represents a woman of easy virtue wearing a short skirt, low décolleté, coq feather boa, and brimmed hat worn at a rakish angle. They are in conversation with a man wearing tweedy country clothes, leading a pantomime horse yoked to a cart carring a passenger in drag, on the right
