Conditions at Krefeld were apparently not too tough for allied POWs if this picture is a guide. Camp entertainment was indeed just that: this very young-looking British serviceman 'Gloria', wears an attractive draped silk velvet robe trimmed with what looks like Brussels lace, a matching toque with ostrich aigrette and lots of make-up. Part of James Gardiner Collection: photograph album labelled ‘Drag’.
