Soldiers, one in drag, performing in the concert party "The Goods". Photographic postcard, 1918.
"The Goods"
A man standing in the centre is looked upon by two lines of other characters either side. The company "The Goods" was attached to the 58th (London) Division in France. The concert party for this Division was particularly well organized and supplied, with semi-professional performers such as the famous Alouette (see Wellcome Library no. 2060626i)
Part of James Gardiner Collection: photographs of military, naval, and prisoner-of-war camp drag.
