Ilan N. Oral History

Ilan N., interviewed by Tyler Maltsev, spends this interview talking about his difficulties accessing gender realignment surgery, remarking that he has had to "jump through hoops" with physical and mental health care providers to receive it and ensure that it will be covered by his insurance. He also discusses the disapproval of some trans men regarding those in the community who choose to receive phalloplasties. He does, however, remark favorably on his familial support systems, which he considers to be crucial to his recovery process.
